Snyder to present faculty recital

Bradley Snyder, instructor of low brass at South Dakota State University, will present a faculty recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Bradley Snyder, instructor of low brass at South Dakota State University, will present a faculty recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Titled “Dancing Through Life,” the program will feature a variety of pieces that are inspired by dance and reflections on different stages and events that occur in an individual’s life. Included on the program are “Suite for Unaccompanied Bass Trombone” by Eric Culver, “Morgen!” by Richard Strauss, “Fantasie dans le style de Richard Strauss” by Fabien Gabel, “Ages” by Susan Mutter and “Azure Dawn” by Frank Gulino.

Joining Snyder in the recital will be SDSU professor of percussion Aaron Ragsdale, pianist Xuan Kuang and hornist Sam Gowen.
