Bellis to present junior recital

Jackson Bellis, a music education major at South Dakota State University, will present his junior recital.

Jackson Bellis, a music education major at South Dakota State University, will present his junior recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

The Vermillion native plays the trombone, and his primary instructor is Bradley Snyder.

Bellis will perform works by composers George Butterworth, Joseph Edouard Barat, Barbara York, Raymond Premru and Johann Sebastian Bach. He will be accompanied by Xuan Kuang on piano, with assistance from Hannah Hulstein on trombone and fellow members of the Brass Quintet: Caroline Reyner and Mason LeMaster on trumpet, Eden Hodgins on horn and Austin Teas on bass trombone.
