Cassady, Retzer to present junior recital

South Dakota State University juniors Joseph Cassady, clarinet, and Avery Retzer, soprano, will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

South Dakota State University juniors Joseph Cassady, clarinet, and Avery Retzer, soprano, will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus. 

Cassady, is a Brookings native majoring in music education. Retzer is also from Brookings and majoring in music education. Their primary instructors are Michael Walsh, professor of clarinet and music history, and Emily Toronto, professor of voice, voice pedagogy and Opera Workshop. 

They will be assisted by Xuan Kuang and Deb Kalsbeck on piano.
