Ellis to present senior recital

Andrew Ellis, a senior majoring in music education, will present his senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the South Dakota State University campus.

Andrew Ellis, a senior majoring in music education, will present his senior recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the South Dakota State University campus. 

Ellis, a percussionist from Sioux Falls, will perform works by composers Elliott Carter, Claude Debussy, Casey Cangelosi and Gene Koshinski. He will be assisted by fellow student musicians Evan Miller, Jesse Dodd, Josh Howard and Teo Nilson. 

Ellis has been involved in SDSU’s Wind Symphony, the SDSU Percussion Ensemble, The Pride of the Dakotas Marching Band, SDSU Jazz Ensemble and the Statesmen. His primary instructor is Aaron Ragsdale.
