Robinson to present faculty flute recital

The School of Performing Arts invites the community to a recital featuring Elizabeth Robinson, assistant professor of music at South Dakota State University.

The School of Performing Arts invites the community to a recital featuring Elizabeth Robinson, assistant professor of music at South Dakota State University. 

The recital will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall and includes recently commissioned works for the flute or alto flute. 

Featuring fellow faculty members pianist Mark Stevens and mezzo-soprano Anna DeGraff, this performance includes works by composers Valerie Coleman, Amanda Harberg, Carter Pann and Roger Zare. The music explores poetry by Rumi, folk traditions from Taiwan, jazz influences and more.
