Walsh to present faculty recital March 3

Michael Walsh, professor of music at South Dakota State University, will present a recital, “As Voice, With Voice, In Voice,” at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall.

Michael Walsh, professor of music at South Dakota State University, will present a recital, “As Voice, With Voice, In Voice,” at 7 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall. 

Walsh, a clarinetist, has been selected to perform at regional, national and international conferences. 

The program includes “Fantasia on Verdi’s ‘La Traviata,’” “Three Etudes on Themes of Gershwin,” “I Like You,” a work for clarinet and electronic sounds, as well as “Cancion para un Clarinetista” by Javier Zalba. Assisting with the program are faculty members Xuan Kuang, Mark Stevens and Anna DeGraff.
